JURISDICTION OF THE COMMISSIONERATE

 

The Patna Commissionerate, headed by The Commissioner, Central Excise & Service Tax, covers the complete geographical area of whole State of Bihar whice comprises of 38 districts of Bihar. The Commissionerate is further divided into 6 Divisions namely Patna, Patna-II, Mizaffarpur, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Patna Service Tax.

 

 

 

The jurisdiction of six Central Excise and Service Tax Divisions are as under:

 

 

 

 

C.Ex.Division, Patna-I

All Central Excise assessees / Dealers (including their service tax assessment) falling in the area under jurisdiction of P.S.  Kotwali, Gandhi Maidan, Pirbahore, Sultanganj,   Kadamkuan, Kankarbagh,   Patrakar Nagar, Agamkuan, Bye Pass,  Ramkrishnanagar, Sampatchak, Gaurichak, Dhanrua, Masaudhi, Punpun Gopalpur, Shastri Nagar, Rupaspur, S.K.Puri, Buddha Colony, Patliputra, Rajivnagar, Digha, Akilpur, Danapur, Gardanibagh, Sachivalaya, Jakkanpur, Phulwarisharif, Airport, Beur,   Janipur,  Khagaul, Bahadurpur, Parsa Bazar of Patna District and the area of Patna District not mentioned elsewhere.   

 

C.Ex. & S. Tax Division, Patna-II

 All Central Excise assessees / Dealers (including their service tax assessment) / Service tax assessees / Input Service Distributors falling in the area under jurisdiction of P.S. Alamganj, Khajekalan, Chowk, Malsalami, Didarganj, Mehdiganj,  Fatuha, Daniyawa, Sahjahapur, Khusrupur, Barh Sub-division of Patna District, the whole of the Districts of Nalanda, Begusarai & the District of Vaishali (expect area under Baruaj P.S.)

 

Service Tax Division, Patna

All exclusive Service Tax assessees / Input Service Distributors in the area of the jurisdiction C.Ex. Division-I, Patna and the jurisdiction under Patna City, Range of C.Ex. Division-II, Patna and the area of Patna District not mentioned elsewhere. (only Service Tax)

 

 

C.Ex. & S. Tax Division, Gaya

All Central Excise assessees / Dealers (including their service tax assessment) / Service tax assessees / Input Service Distributors falling in the area of the Districts of Gaya, Jehanabad, Arwal, Aurangabad and Nawada, Sasaram(Rohtas), Bhabhua(Kaimur), Arrah(Bhojpur) and Buxar. In the District of Patna whole area under the jurisdiction of P.S. Naubatpur, Maner, Sahpur, Paliganj, Dulhin Bazar, Sigaudi, Rani Talab, Bhagwanganj, Kadriganj, Bikram and Bihta .

 

 

   C.Ex. & S. Tax Division, Muzaffarpur  

All Central Excise assessees / Dealers (including their service tax assessment) / Service tax assessees / Input Service Distributors falling in the area of the Districts of Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, East Champaran, West Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran and Baruraj P.S. of Vaishali District.

 

 

 

C.Ex. & S. Tax Division, Bhagalpur

All Central Excise assessees / Dealers (including their service tax assessment) / Service tax assessees / Input Service Distributors falling in the area of the Districts of Bhagalpur, Banka, Khagaria, Jamui, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Munger, Purnea, Katihar, Araria, Supaul, Saharsa, Madhepura and Kishanganj.
